BICA Virtual Poster Session 2023 is organized as a satellite event, separate from the main conference BICA*AI 2023. Virtual Poster Session will be hosted in Los Angeles, California, USA on Sunday, October 8, 2023 by Ursula Addison.

Mozilla Hubs Instructions for BICA Virtual Poster Session Participants

1. Entering the room

• Click on the link. When the page loads, click Join Room.
• IMPORTANT: Edit your display name. Enter your real name, so that others can identify you.
• You can select your avatar. Click Accept.
• Allow using microphone. Test your audio and microphone.
• Click "Enter Room". You can be in only one room at a time.

2. In the room

• To move around the room, use the arrows or W,A,S,D keys on the keyboard.

• To rotate the view, hold down the left mouse button and move the cursor.

• With your cursor on a poster, click the right button to view the poster full screen, scroll the wheel to scale. To exit this mode, click the cross at the bottom or press a WASD button.

• With your cursor on a poster, press the spacebar: several options will appear in the context menu. Among them, magnifying glass copies the poster into your virtual hands. To remove it from your hands you need to lower the camera down and click on the cross.

• To mute or activate your microphone, click on the icon in the center of the bottom bar. There you will also find the chat link.

• When somebody else is present, click "People" in the upper-right corner to view all people in the room. You can control their properties: e.g., adjust their sound and visibility.

• To leave the room, you can use the button in the bottom-right corner, or simply close the window.
